Frosty once posted a sketch of two cats standing nose-to-nose and with the caption, "It's like looking in a mirror!" The cats were mirror images of each other except for coloring.
More recently I was thinking back on that image and then thought of the mention in Precocious' forums about Yvette and Fluttershy having nearly identical personalities and that's where the idea for this picture came from.
The difference is that almost all the kids in 'Precocious' are just a little (or -at least- a little) "odd" in one way or another. We don't actually know of a dark side to Yvette; we just speculate.
You might notice that the left side of this picture is a bit darker than the right. That is to hint at the bit of mysteriousness about Yvette. In 'reality' she's probably the sweetest, nicest and kindest girl-child in all of 'Precocious.'

P.S. -My- computer monitor makes these colors look darker and harsher than they do on the actual picture. How 'bout yours.??
Also; I don't like this paper for colored-pencil work. Look at all those horrible, horizontal lines!! That's the grain of the paper causing that; kinda like drawing on white, corrugated cardboard. I think I'll be investing in different paper soon (and a few more colors of pencils.)
P.P.S. This is my first drawing using my fancy, new Prismacolor brand colored pencils. BIG difference between them and the 10+ year old, cheap drugstore pencils I used on my last couple of colored-pencil works!

With Yvette attempting to perform Voodoo on Ursula, your slight darkness turned out to be correct! No word yet on whether Yvette has friends on the other side.
